The lovely Audrey Tautou (Amélie) brings
out all her charm as the frivolous Irène, a girl
who likes to hunt for sugar daddies on the
French Riviera. She loves all things luxurious
and has an addiction to Chanel and Lacroix.
But the branded products are the only things
that are real in her life. Her encounter with
a sweet but penniless waiter, played by Gad
Elmaleh (The Valet), sets off a screwball
comedy with strong romantic entanglements.
But the lovestruck waiter has no intention
of letting her escape, and pursues her to the
French Riviera. Quickly running out of money,
he finds himself a loaded widow (Marie-
Christine Adam) and takes up residence in
a magnificent luxury hotel. Will the seducer
become the seduced? Can real love be ignored
by trying to escape? An experienced and
successful French film team is behind this
impressively produced and tightly knit comedy
about two lost souls in the tempting paradise
of the Côte d’Azur.
